Why SWPDC

A great need currently exists for medical devices designed specifically for children. Based at Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine, the Southwest National Pediatric Device Consortium supports pediatric device innovators and emphasizes the need for an extended life cycle of pediatric device projects within academia.

What Do We Do?

The SWPDC provides:

-Direct Device Funding/Seed Funding

-Consulting assistance (regulatory, intellectual property, commercialization, manufacturing, etc.)

-Engineering/design assistance

-Potential clinical collaborators

-Connections to other potential local programs and resources
